But the story quickly pulls a similar maneuver to the first game, wherein you find yourself alone and unwanted on yet another island. The game starts off as a direct sequel to the first game which initially concerned me, since I was being introduced to characters the game expected me to know already. I was pleasantly surprised because they did both of those things. I picked up Risen 2 on PS3 hoping that it would have at least a hint of the integrity the first game showed, but also that they would improve on the technical issues that pushed me away from it. The game starts with your character marooned on an unknown island as the survivor of a shipwreck, and over the short time I played I genuinely felt lost, afraid and unwanted even by the “friendly” NPCs inhabiting the island. I didn’t get far into it, due to not being patient enough to deal with the very clunky combat, but from what I did play I really respected. I tried the first Risen on Steam a couple of years back, on a whim really. Risen 2 was the first and one of the best games I have played. During the time between, I did continue playing games with the intention of getting the Platinum trophy but I would wait until after December 1st to actually complete them. After I got my 99th Platinum trophy I decided it would be a nice touch to bookend my journey by obtaining #100 a few months later, exactly eight years after my first Platinum trophy. ![]() This difficult decision is never easy for a pet parent, and how you communicate with the client can affect their experience significantly. Tips for Communicating with Pet Owners About Euthanasia ![]() By relying on sympathetic communication strategies, you can gently guide owners through their loss and give their pet the most comfortable end-of-life experience possible. One of the most difficult parts of a vet’s job is telling an owner that euthanasia is the best option for their pet, but this stage is where you can make the most difference in your client’s grief process. Let the client know that once the euthanasia solution enters the pet’s body through an IV injection or inhalation, the animal will become unconscious and then peacefully pass away, as if they are falling asleep. If their pet requires sedation to keep them calm and reduce stress, inform the client that euthanasia will begin once the animal has relaxed. You can explain that euthanasia involves inducing anesthesia through an IV injection. Pet owners who have never put past pets to sleep should understand the procedure beforehand. ![]() The pet’s quality of life is at the point where death is the ethical choice under the American Veterinary Medical Association guidelines, and you should remind the owner that they’re doing the right thing. If the owner asks whether euthanasia causes pain, help them understand that humane euthanasia allows their pet to pass without suffering. You should clear up misconceptions about euthanasia to avoid adding to the client’s grief during such a difficult time. Some owners might believe that euthanasia will cause their beloved pet pain, and feelings of grief and guilt can stop them from making the right decision for their pet. There’s often other options for these pets, including rehoming or foster care. Sometimes, a healthy pet comes into a Humane Society animal shelter for euthanasia if it has become too dangerous or the owner cannot take care of the animal any longer. Disinterest in playing or other usual activities. It might be time for euthanasia if the pet has these indicators: As a vet, part of your responsibilities is informing the client when euthanasia is the animal’s best option and supporting them through the grieving process. When someone has a companion animal for a significant portion of their lives, it can be extremely difficult to accept that their pet might need euthanasia. Signs That Indicate It Might Be Time for Euthanasia By thoroughly explaining how the procedure works and what to expect, you can clear up misconceptions and help the owner make an informed choice about their beloved companion. Understanding pet euthanasia, including why it’s necessary and how the procedure works, can help pet owners make the right decision and ease their worries and grief about the process. ![]() Our goal is to help you improve your clinic’s communication to lessen the emotional strain for the owners, pets, and your veterinary team. In this article, we’ll provide information to help you determine what to say to someone who has to euthanize their pets, including how to answer their questions and support them through the heartbreaking loss. When clients have a difference in opinion regarding euthanasia, the inability to do what’s best for the pet causes significant stress for veterinarians and veterinary team members. A study published by the British Veterinary Association found that many veterinarians feel more distress from euthanasia consultations with the pet owner than the process itself. ![]() Now sign in at with the same login you used to prepare your prior-year return.O If you're also doing a state return, be sure to download and install the corresponding state program on your PC or Mac. Apple introduces new Apple Pencil, bringing more value and choice to the lineup ![]() Moreover, in the 60 degree I saw the thicker high-toe wight pad go to work with a flatter look than I expected given the offset. The natural flight for me on full swings was repeatable but I found myself still able to manipulate it despite the Dynamic Gold 115 shaft not being a great fit for my swing. Whether it was full swings, or partial swings, as you will see in the Foresight powered data sets for both the 56 F/S and 60 S/D that I worked with, it was when I got out of the way and stopped forcing things that the Wingman wedges had their best performance. It was at that moment when I stopped pressing, literally stopped pressing my hands in the swing, and simply let the clubs work, the simple intelligence of the concept shined through. It absolutely took me a bit to acclimate to the offset look at address, but it immediately reminded me of my youth and being introduced to the game with an old Eye 2 wedge of my fathers. While on a personal level I do wish they had gone a little easier on all the engraving, these look as premium as anything else out there when you get them in hand, and probably better than most when in the bag. In all, there is 3 mm of offset in each head.īy now, some of you are rightfully asking: But do they perform? Well, for me, the answer to that is an emphatic ‘yes’. This is both a nod to some of the most legendary wedge designs of the past, as well as Bernhard believing that the offset allows golfers to get their hands more forward without having to force it, a fatal sin for many in their short games. It is all brought together in an offset design which came about via the mind of the companies most notable Tour staff member, the legendary Bernhard Langer. Thankfully, Tour Edge recognized that this needed to be varied based on the different lofts to dial things in rather than implementing a blanket design. That weight has gone to the overall perimeter as well as the “Milled High-Toe Pad” which was done to move the CG both away from the hosel as well as higher in the clubhead to bring down the launch and increase spin. That very VIBRCOR is a key element of the design, allowing more weight to be shifted via the milled pockets for which the material sits. Forged from 8620 Carbon Steel, the Wingman shaping is certainly unique, but the precision milling marks on the sole absolutely pop while the high-toe weight pad balances the look of the VIBRCOR pockets towards the bottom of the clubhead. Right away, the satin finish is one of the cleanest of any wedge design on the market, not only eliminating any concern of glare on the slightly larger face, but also allowing a plethora of milling to shine through. Upon unboxing the 56 F/S and 60 S/D wedges I was smacked directly in the face with the best finish and attention to detail I have seen to this point from Tour Edge Exotics in any non metalwood. ![]() ![]() You would think by now I would know better than to doubt this brand, but one more lesson was apparently needed on my end. When I first learned about the Wingman release and saw the same images you did, I will admit, I was underwhelmed. While the naming is a bit of a mouthful, I am not entirely sure that people are ready for the level of eye candy that Tour Edge has brought with this one. ![]() The Wingman offers a blend of precision and versatility which rivals any other on the market right now, not to mention, a quality that will turn misinformed opinions of the brand upside down forevermore. While we have seen high-toe type designs done aplenty, the application of not only offset into the Tour Edge Exotics Wingman wedges, but also their VIBRCOR material has lead to one of the most playable and enjoyable wedges out there. It goes without saying, we have never seen anything quite like this from the company before, and in my opinion, that proves to be a very good thing. The latest example of all those worlds colliding is Tour Edge releasing their new Wingman wedge designs under the Exotics umbrella. However, their PGA Tour Champions relationships have been just as, if not more, critical in their growth and success via the wealth of knowledge and feedback it has given them from some of the best to ever play this game we all love so much. Time to dive in a bit deeper with our Tour Edge Exotics Wingman Wedges review. This comes via their willingness to be different while also acknowledging the trends and evolution of designs as time has gone on. When it comes to innovation and thinking outside of the box, Tour Edge has quietly become a leader. I’m using version 8 of Drupal, which is the current production version.
